Part 4: Research - Bad font choices

I found some bad typography examples on the internet and I also took a picture of some which caught my eyes while I was walking down the streets.

Below are good examples of bad visual communication which can help to understand that typography doesn't represent only letters that should be read but it also conveys the right or wrong message by its visual appearance.

This is too dark, too strong for one massage parlour. If this is a name of some heavy metal band, then it is ok but if it's really a massage parlour I would be scared to go there.

It is funny, curly and cute. It could be good for Barbie's Harley-Davidson club, otherwise it is a far from real Harley- Davidson cool and wild image.

Generally, script typeface is a good option in this case but choice of font is bad because it is so widely use and seen everywhere. It is clearly that "typographer" didn't immerse much into typography but he wrote that he is a "little typographer".

Screaming red which is associated with danger, warning and generally can be consideredas an irritant color, in combination with strong dark letters is very bad choice. There is nothing calming and restful here.

Very elegant and tender and completely disconnected with football.

It looks broken and funny.

This is not legible, readable  let alone beautiful.

Doesn't give an impression that teeth would survive the first bite.

Everyone will remove them immediately. It is more like a threat.
