Like with human anatomy where body parts create visual appearance, so the different characters of alphabet have their own parts which determine how typeface will look.
Different characters have different parts so I will show some basic marks of typeface anatomy.
I made this "collage" to help me learn and remember the anatomy of a typeface. I printed the pages from the website http://typedia.com/learn/only/anatomy-of-a-typeface/ , cut and glued the parts in order which was the most suitable for me. I put those papers on the wall in front of my desk so I can look at them in any moment.
